No new eBooks are showing up on my Kindle since I last synced. I did download one eBook that my Kindle sees. But there is no way to download new eBooks.

I was able to download (D&T) an eBook I bought (free) earlier today from Amazon US. But that's now not possible.

D&T from Amazon UK is now working for me. I've just downloaded the book that I bought yesterday morning.

Working for me as well. Last night I was able to send an eBook to my Kindle and today D&T is working. This is both US and UK.

You're the only one who reported not being able to see new purchases on your Kindle. Library filtered to downloaded books, maybe?

It was set to cloud. I change the sort to title and then back to recent and I did not see any newly added books since the previous sync.

Good for them, wanted a book last night and because of the concern over D&T I bebopped over to Kobo and bought it there instead. Next book I will buy from Amazon if D&T still working.

Why when you now have a better copy then you did from Amazon?

You appear to have interpreted "Next book I will buy" as "I'll buy another copy of the same book". That's not how I read it.

I read it as he bout an ePub version of the eBook he wanted and now he's ended up with a better copy. So for his next book he should buy ePub again if possible.

I may not have been clear, so sorry. I bought a new book I wanted to read on Kobo because of the D&T issue. Now that D&T working again, then the next book (not what I already bought) I will buy on Amazon *if* D&T still working at that time.

Also is it worth paying more for the epub version of a novel? For many the images (if any at all) aren't important in a regular novel.

But Amazon is buying up publishers, who then only do ebooks on Kindle.
Amazon is also persuading others to to be Amazon exclusive.

The Amazon published ebooks are Kindle only and not available in libraries, even on a Kindle.

And now Amazon are geoblocking purchase if you aren't in the country where the kindle is registered. Even on ebooks that are available and at same price. Makes buying when physically travelling impossible. Yet they will ship the paper versions anywhere.

Given you are buying for Kobo, get another ePub.
