Ok downloaded now from that link, i downloaded from the main page there is no link to releases !
will edit this message if it works, if not the can all go to *Y*(&^T^& with there drm.

ok its a zipp file that loads only does not work

Yes there is. It's where is show 10.0.3 on the right side next to the code.

Unpack zip
Browse in Calibre for the required zip unpacked from the downloaded zip. It has I think two different plugin zips and some other file.

Did Amazon drop support for sending mobi format to a Kindle that only uses mobi format? Last time I looked, if I sent an epub file to Amazon by email or Send to Kindle, an older Kindle received a mobi format version of the file while newer Kindles received a KF8/azw3 version of the file.

No, and in any case personal documents are never delivered with DRM and so have nothing to do with this thread.

(My personal strategy is to keep e-books in their original format, minus DRM, and only convert to other formats as needed.)

If you use Send to Kindle from NetGalley (advanced reader copies from publishers), it goes to personal docs and will often have DRM (depending on the publisher). Possibly there are other situations like this where it's from another source and not really a "personal" doc. But if you have an E-ink Kindle, it's not a problem.

I'm not on Netgalley but recall reading that they deliver some books with Readium LCP DRM, so I'd imagine that where publishes want DRM it would be used on Amazon books as well.
