Clare 2E: Listening to audiobook along side reading the ebook

Hello

So sorry if this has already been asked. Have not put in the 2E thread as I think this is a Kobo OS thing...

I have the new 2E and wondered if there was a way of both listening to a audio book along side reading a ebook.

My preferred way of reading is listening to the audio version along with reading the ebook version.

I would normally do this by using the audio player on my phone, was hoping that with the 2E I would have both running on the same device.

I have found when using the audio player - if you go back to your books, as to load the ebook - the audio book stops playing. Is there a way of keeping the audio book running in the background?

No, at least not by default.

As to by other means maybe, but no current mod or patch exists to allow this. I'm not sure if it even is possible and I don't have the knowledge to shed any light on this further. Save that it seems unlikely since it'd require some pretty major changes to how the firmware acts.

This is the sort of use I make of audiobooks, and tried on my Sage when I first got it. Like you, no such luck. An opportunity lost for Kobo, I think

Some of the PocketBooks (like the Touch HD 3) will allow listening to the audio book and reading simultaneously.
