Xubuntu: Download directly to Calibre?
On a previous installation of Calibre on Xubuntu, I was able to directly save a file to Calibre, rather than saving in the Download directory and then importing the file into Calibre. This was very handy. I can't see how to do it now and would be grateful for assistance, please.

You may have been using an calibre 'auto add' folder.
This require that your download always asks where to save (as opposed to always put in Downloads) |

Sorry, I should have been clearer:
IIRC, using Firefox in Xubuntu, I was able to left click on an epub file in Gutenberg, and instead of simply saving the file to my Downloads directory I was offered to save/import to Calibre. I can't remember if it was a Calibre or Firefox plugin or an Xubuntu setting - but it was very convenient. Thanks for the reply. Jim |

On the Firefox Settings: General section you can set what extensions do/use what
or set (all) downloads to always ask |

Make calibre th default handler for epub and configure firefox to open epub files automatically instead of downloading them.
