As usual, I changed the affiliate to bestbuyca, asked calibre to check for and install updates and it found 4.32; then I changed the affiliate back and rebooted.

Much easier than downloading manually.

If you're on Windows, you can right-click on the font, select Properties, then go to the Details tab.

After too long, probably 10 minutes.

I decided to hard reset my Libra 2.

Then it went back to factory setting then updated to 4.30. then another check and it updated to 4.30 via wifi.

After that I manually updated with the 4.32 fw file. Transferred my backup files when I was still in 4.30. Went fine. Install nickelmenu and nanoclock. all is well now.

After the new firmware 4.32.19501 I decided to load several books with the Calibre (version 5.40 with current addons Kobo Touch Extended and Kobo Utilities). After ejecting it from the Calibre, I noticed a strange change in some fonts - on the home page; the series; header/footer captions, etc.
After rebooting KAO - everything is as it should be.
But now, if I connect it to the computer and eject it - without doing anything else, even without calibre - the fonts are still large and changed.
I tried with pure firmware, without patches - the same result:
1- I connect KAO with PC Windows 11
2- eject
3- fonts are fucked up - big and changed.
4- I reboot KAO - all is OK.

Yeah, I'm getting the same behavior on my Glo HD but I run a non-standard set up with lots of customization so I thought it was just me. The font is the Kakugo font which is the same font used if your interface language is Japanese. The trigger seems to be the USB disconnect; I can even trigger it with nickelmenu by doing a full scan for books (which does so by simulating a USB disconnect).

I find it hard to believe that this didn't come up during testing and no one else has complained, so I wonder if it's an old device thing or maybe just specific to Mark 6 devices?

EDIT: Opening up a kepub in this state makes the Kobo think it's in a different locale; I get a pop up saying that Georgia was automatically chosen as a supplementary font whenever I turn a page.

I see no such behavior on my 4.32 devices (Sage and Libra 2).

I also use a lot of customization with kobopach. But I'm sure I've ejected it at least 10 times while patching it, because I've been experimenting with some jackie_w's nickel patches. But in all these attempts, this blunder never happened. And today it happened when I used a Calibrе, so at first I assumed that it happened then. That's why I tried with pure firmware, but ....
