I don’t care for Origami cases myself. They always feel floppy to me (even the official Kobo ones) and the stand feature is less than optimal – they always seem to be crooked or unstable or at the wrong angle. I keep a lightweight foldable stand in my purse that works for everything from a phone to an eight-inch tablet in a case. Mine is from Amazon US and comes in two sizes; I have the large size (which is still quite small) – https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...1?ie=UTF8&th=1 |

Well since y'all have shown me such kindness I thought I'd give you an update...
My forma arrived a couple of days ago! One of the last avab 32GB ones it would seem. I ended up having to get it via a freight-forwarder, since Kobo don't want to send that size to Australia. So far (apart from the power button, which is indeed quite hard to push in!) I'm loving it ! It feels as comfortable as I'd hoped - light in the hand, not unwieldy - and the screen does feel a lot larger than the Libra. So far most of the large-column PDFs I've tried have had text that is not too small. The few exceptions I can deal with (I also have a Boox Note Air - tho that is alot heavier, and I'm mainly using that for note-making.) The only small thing is that its not as easy to wrangle in the ol' one-handed-reading-on-the-dunny scenario ! ![]() __________________________ I do feel obliged to check if its got any of the screen problems, tho I will probably ignore them if it does: partly because nothing is getting in my face, but also because there probably aren't any left anyway! |

![]() Great! It is the best e-reader you can get today (IMO)! ![]() I just ordered myself a second Forma 8GB (I never fill up memory) to keep as backup if something happens with the current one. |

Lol with any luck Kobo will listen and ensure the next Sage has better battery life and ideally a bit lighter. Then I might buy it at 32GB...down the track!

The next generation of Kobo readers should have the new On-Cell e-ink screens with 30% better contrast. Just taking the old Forma and sticking the new screen on it would be a total win.

Me too. I tried two Sages, both had bad lighting. I dithered about trying a third time but in the end I decided that the Sage is too heavy for me. I’d like a Lighter version next time.

The Sage and the Libra 2 have the Carta 1250 screen which claims 15% better contrast and faster speeds than the Carta 1200 screens. I was hoping the Sage would have the On-Cell touch but so far, it seems that no-one has released a device with that technology.

I'm guessing it will be Onyx that first releases a device with On-Cell because they refresh their lineup constantly. E-ink announced the technology in May and the-ebook-reader did a blog wondering when we would see devices with the new screens in September.
