Mine came yesterday. Charged it, set it up and read for about an hour last night. First impressions: It feels well build. Power button is back on the back where it belongs. The reader is flatter, ie, the upward bend where the buttons are is less pronounced than on the Forma. Love that they removed the rubber-like strip that the Forma has and have gone with a hard plastic front. Buttons are harder to push than the Forma. Text is crisper. If page turns are faster I can't tell - maybe slightly but this was never an issue. Battery life? Don't know yet but was never a problem with the Forma so I don't expect it to be. The lighting: No banding at all (I'm reading with the lighting set at 10). The comfortlight pro is more yellow and less orange than with the Forma. I like it better YMMV. Biggest PROS: Power button on the back Hard plastic around the buttons instead of tacky rubber Noticeably crisper text No dark band near the buttons Biggest CONS: Button pushes are harder Wish it was a larger screen Overall: It is an improvement over the Forma and was worth the upgrade for me but I've had my Forma for 3 years and really don't like the power button placement and the rubber strip by the buttons. If you don't mind these I doubt the crisper text is enough to warrant upgrading. However the fact that the light banding is gone may be a big deal to you. If so - upgrade. edit: wanted to note that I don't use Overdrive or the stylus so no comments in that area Last edited by tschucha; 10-27-2021 at 10:56 AM. Reason: stylus |

For my Sage, as soon as it arrived at the local Canada Post sorting station after it's trip from Toronto, ON to Richmond BC, Kobo's site said it was delivered. Canada Post actually delivered it the next day.

I canceled my order with Amazon.fr, because who knows when they'll have the Sage in stock. I found another European store that had the Sage already in stock and would ship to my country (LDLC.com), so I ordered it from them. I'll probably buy the power cover too, but it's not in stock anywhere at the moment. Stylus, don't know. Too expensive. I'm gonna try my Surface pen first. And it's not like I really need a stylus anyway. |

Going to be super curious to read about the Sage's battery performance in the coming weeks. I think I was operating on the wrong assumption that the CPU power draw was the most significant factor in battery drain when it's probably the lights, which would mean it would be more similar to the Forma than I'd assumed.

The first one gave me barely 3 days, with lots of reading over the weekend. | |

If it’s not the same it’s close enough to fool me holding them side by side and touching them. It has a different pattern but the material appears to be the same
