Clara HD Imported books missing in library

Hi, everyone.

I bought a Kobo Clara HD recently, and I dumped my 51 books from my PC onto the SD memory of my e-reader via USB conection. I safely disconect the e-reader, but only shows 30 books on the library. Why?

My PC displays a message that the device can be safely disconnected, but the Clara is still working to process the files. Watch the Clara's home screen. It will be dark when connected to the PC, then briefly return to normal, then dark again while it displays a progress bar while importing, then finally return to the normal home screen. ONLY then should you physically unplug the device.

Books not being imported is usually because there are errors in the books. When the device first sees the books, it extracts the metadata and ToC. If this fails, the book is not imported and can block further imports. You need to work out which books have not been imported and have a look at them to work out the issues. If they are epubs, running a conversion in calibre will usually fix any problems. Or fail which means the book had big issues. You can also open them in the calibre editor and use the error checking to see the errors.
