Fixing the config manually will cause Nickel to do that all on its own (which will break KOreader/Plato, until reinstall).

Forgive me, I probably misunderstood where to put the following;

[FeatureSettings]
ExcludeSyncFolders=\\.(?!kobo|adobe).*?

I assume to put that in the Kobo eReader.conf file, but it seems there is .config file I need to put that in. Can you direct me to that file?

Now, how do I get both page buttons on the forma to go to next page in KOReader?

After 6 years using my Kobo Aura and Koreader (also with a 6 years old Koreader version) I'm getting a new Kobo soon and want to install Koreader using the automatic script provided by Nijule.
I keep all my books on an SD card in a hidden folder.
Will that folder also be ignored by Nickel? (This is what I want, Nickel should not start scanning the books on my SD card in hidden folders)

@WS64: That's part of the FW 4.17+ shenanigans, so, yeah.

Just don't restore your content *before* having used the script (and/or tweaked the config properly yourself first), otherwise Nickel will then delete said stuff after you fix the config ^^.

It's always sounded like a recipe for disaster. I hope they test well.

Well, it has to be in the DB to be deleted, so it's not *that* unusual a codepath.

It just happens to trip the "this file is in my DB, but I can't see it anymore" codepath

My KOReader release flow now goes tag (technically public), build, upload, release.

The interim 30-60 minutes (not quite seconds) otherwise resulted in quite a few questions about missing binaries.

The first post has a link to a plain html index, that one has a stable URL, and is available as soon as the rest are (e.g., it only throws a 404/403 during the objects upload, during which time the container is locked by making it non-readable)

Hello,

I am having issues installing this on my purchased Used Kobo Wifi. When the kobo restarts after I have loaded the one step installer, it just looks like normal. The only things is it will have two new files (kfmon.png, koreader.png)

1) Does the .kobo directory need to be completely overwritten in the Kobo from the .kobo directory in the installer?
2) Does my Kobo need a firmware that's recent? I have 1.9.12 (10/16/14)
3) In Kobo's settings, I have "reset to factory defaults" before doing this. Is there a chance i have something like KSM already installed that's causing a incompatibility.
