How long does it take to get firmware OTA? Seems like it takes way too long.

I expected older firmware to get updated fairly quickly. But obviously that's not the case. The last time I turned on WiFi on a different PW3, the firmware updated very quickly.

Downloading the update itself usually goes really quick. You will get it as soon as you connect. What takes weeks is getting your device on the list to be updated.

Ask Amazon. It makes sense to stagger updates as to not kill the bandwith of the servers. What metric Amazon uses is up to anyones guess. Closely guarded secret. For all I know it could be Amazon employees playing D&D and rolling dice.
