Annotation file for KePub book?

Can Kobo Aura One generate ".annot" file (annotation) for KePub book?
For ePub book it generate in:
Digital Editions\Annotations

But for KePub file there are no ".annot" files. There some programs/plugins that extract annotation (KoboUtilities / Annotation), but they don't contain location of notation, like ".annot" file.

Annot file is more useful because it contain location of the note (xhtml file and location in it), like this:
<fragment start="OEBPS/Text/chapter24.xhtml#point(/1/4/236/1:490)" end="OEBPS/Text/chapter24.xhtml#point(/1/4/236/3:0)" progress="0.409149">

I use annotation as a reminder of grammatical/spelling errors that need to be corrected.

All annotations are stored in the database on the device. The annot file is generated for any books that are read with the Adobe RMSDK. That's basically epubs and PDF.

There are ways to fetch the annotations from the device. They have been discussed many times in this forum, including my listing of the available methods. A search for "annotations" should find them.

I and tried Calibre plugins for fetching annotation, but "annot" file is more convinient. And that's why I asked is there a way to generate "annot" file for KePub?

Is there a reason why the Kobo span IDs + character offset isn't suitable? I actually find them easier to work with than CFIs.
