Cool Downgrade paperwhite running FW 5.12.4
So according to the jailbreak guide, there are some issues with the latest FW version and I happen to have it on my kindle paperwhite PW3.
Is it possible to downgrade it anyway?
A few months ago I tried to register a Japanese account on the device and since then the lock screen cover is stuck on a Japanese ad.
With jailbreaking I hope to change the cover and maybe add some features I don't know about yet

No, and doubly so because while your post is unclear on that subject, it would seem to hint at the fact that your device is currently *NOT* jailbroken.

That said, a factory reset should clear your issues.

I will clarify my post. You're right it's not jailbroken and I have tried resetting it from the device's advanced options but it stayed on the same version.

It's not supposed to change versions. It will clear user & account settings, requiring a re-authentication, which should allow you to set it up with a non-JP account.

You *cannot* downgrade a Kindle, with a very very very few exceptions. This is not one of them.

Nope. When has Amazon allowed firmware downgrades? If you have 5.12.4, it seems that you are stuck with it.
