Force WiFi auto connect to specific SSID

My H2Os are requiring that I go through the menu set up and specify which network connection to use. Is there a way to specify a specific SSID name from the config file?

No. The WiFi configuration is not stored in an easily accessible location. And I'd expect that some of it is stored encrypted and probably can't be copied from one device to another.

But, unless you are doing a lot of factory resets, it should only need to be setup once per device and WiFi network. Are you needing to do it more often? |

Or were you perhaps hinting that you wanted to connect to an SSID that isn't broadcasted but weren't quite ready to say so outright because you knew people were going to tell you that hidden SSIDs are a stupid idea?

I wonder if the issue is a corrupted file where the wifi config is stored?

I'm connecting to my server's WiFi hotspot. When powering up and starting the browser it doesn't reliably connect to the server. If I go to scan WiFi and then select my server's SSI then it connects. I worry that it will connect to some open WiFi server and download an OS upgrade. That happened to two of my readers and the 4.x OS has a less useful browser.

Nope, it'll only ever auto-connect to something you've willingly connected to before.

I guess it happened when I connected to an outbound connected WiFi to get ftp service. If I don't have the network connected it doesn't want to connect to the hotspot.

I have two with version 4.18 and the web browser in full screen mode does not cover as much of the screen. I'm also having some "Sync Failed" errors. I think it's looking for a different file in this revision to satisfy it's self that the WiFi has an internet connection. |
