It dosent tell you how long 1 ebook took to read its tracking how long ALL ebooks you have read since it was loaded onto the device. I just wish it had a way to Restart it. Like Midnight New years LOL

Just toggle the tracking option off and on. That clears the stats and then enables them again. It doesn't affect the number of books finished as that is just the count of books marked as finished that are currently on the device.

Yes I can read. But, I didn't realise that you couldn't. I recommend that you look a bit harder. Maybe try scrolling the settings to the second page. And to be clear, you are looking for an option that is labelled "Automatically share data about the features you use" (as mentioned in the first post of this thread). This is the last option in the "Energy saving and privacy" settings. It has a checkbox on the right-hand side. Tapping that will toggle the option between on and off ("ticked" and "unticked"). For most devices, this option will be on the second page of these settings. If you cannot find this option, please state exactly which device you have, and exactly what firmware version you are running. |

agreed. he does help continually, though not always in a pleasant way. should he decide to be less rude with his efforts his help would be even more appreciated.

Reading this thread, the person being discourteous, throwing cheap shots like "can't you read?" was not David, but the person he was trying to help. THAT person's posts show a pattern of the sort of uncivility you're attributing to David. Without any ameliorating assistive value. "Full of sound and fury", etc.

Barbara, I don't know why it isn't working for you. All I can suggest is that you follow what I did exactly: go to the home screen, make sure that WiFi is off, then access settings > Energy saving and privacy > second page, toggle "Automatically share data about the features you use" on and off, and then return to the home screen. If that doesn't work for you then there must be some difference between the Touch (my device) and your devices. |
