Calibre does not start

Good day, I have had this problem after version 3.1.1 (last working)

Installation goes ok, but, when starting, this error happens:

Failed to import site module No module named site (error code 1)

I run windows 7 64, tried both 32 and 64 versions, but always the same error.

I tried to install over the existing version, unistall and install, but nothing worked.

Could anybody help me?

That error message indicates a corrupted install, a needed file is missing. Usually, uninstalling calibre, deleteing c:\Program Files\Calibre2 and then re-installing will fix it. If not then it is likely something on your computer is messing with the installation folder. The most likely culprit is an anti virous program.

Thanks Kovid, it's the antivirus - McAfee Endpoint Security 10.5, corporate version

It stops calibre.exe with following error:
NTDOMAIN\Fiaccadorip run CALIBRE.EXE, which tried to access C:\PROGRAM FILES\CALIBRE2\APP\PYLIB.ZIP, in violation of the rule "reading of a file usually targeted by malaware of ransomware class", and it was blocked.
