Thank you! She's is one of the best. She was my first western author I read. I wonder if the book holds up after all those years.

Checking in

I just had my first 5 star read of the year. Finally! Someone recommended it and it was so good. It's not something I normally would read but it was a previous freebie.

I read Just The Way You Are by Barbara Freethy. Now this may not be everyones cup of tea. There are no larger then life characters or plot. It has a love triangle sorta. The characters seemed ordinary and real yet I couldn't put it down. It reminded me of Suzanne Brockmann's characters yet without the military hot hunky guys and plots. I devoured it.

I also finished Beauty and The Spy by Gayle Callen. (4 stars)
This was great. It's going on my keeper shelf.

I'm also reading. A Woman's Innocence by Gayle Callen. Almost done. This is third in the Callen's series. The first was No Ordinary Groom which was a 3 star read for me. I got all three Callen books from HQ rewards in the past two weeks.

I download The Scoundrel's Honor by Christi Caldwell from Netgalley. I read the following and wonder if anyone else has read/hear the same thing: I have always heard it was goose instead of owl. I have searched and everything comes up with goose not owl.

So tell me fellow Mobilereaders romance what is your take on this.

A copyright Easter Egg so it's easy to google for copies of the text? or a Canary Trap to find out who copied it? It depends on if all copies have the same text or not to select which of them it is.

There's a big Amazon cloud outage on the east coast right now. I can't download anything. I've been told Amazon music is down also, as are many non-Amazon web sites that use AWS.

Thanks for the info! I tried to download a purchased book about a half hour ago and it wouldn't download. I wasn't sure if it was my Kindle or what. I usually have my WiFi off to save the battery, so I don't normally notice that stuff.

Same here, even allowing me to return unlimited books but the new ones don't appear.

I got a few books stuck on queued on my kindle so I turned wifi off for now.

Harlequin rewards site also doesn't load. Goodreads is missing images and such.

Defeated by the cloud.

It shows how dependent we've become on servers. Amazon has been having issues. Yesterday my cloud was acting up. I had to get support to fix it and today it's down.
