That will run the package installer, same-same as you did to run it during the jb steps.

Since you have to use the booklet form of KUAL, which is in the update_*.bin format, you have to dump that one into /mrpackages also.

NOTE:
UYK ==> For AMAZON update packages
MrPI ==> For MOBILEREAD update packages
You have no choice in this matter and not our doing, Amazon's.

I have received several suggestions for changes to the directions to "train" new users in some of these confusing things.

Doing that is high (but not on top) of my "2017-todo" list.

(It has been 40+ years since I was last in NYC - not sure if I (or NYC) is ready for a repeat.)

In the table list my PW3 is not present. I don't understand because i'm at the first kindle...
Can i have more indication please?

It means that we do not (yet) support that model.
(nearly everything here is 'model locked' that table lists the devices our packaging tool recognizes)

Please give us the descriptive information needed to put it into the table -
Wifi or Wifi+3G
4GB or 32GB or whatever it happens to be
case color (yeah, makes a difference sometimes)
Country of sale
Country of purchase

I think that will do it.
I'll make the table entry (as 'unsupported') so that your model does not get forgotten on the next re-build of the packaging tool.
Our maintainer of KindleTool is away at school now, so there may be some delay.

I would suggest subscribing to NiLuJe's snapshot thread - KindleTool (and general package updates) get announced there.

What part of:

Software jail break for the 6th, 7th, and 8th generation devices listed in the title, running any known firmware version.
Except for the G090LK, G090LL (Black and White, PW-3, 32GB, Wifi only) models along with the corresponding two Wifi+3G versions.

If concerned that your PW3 model is one of the exceptions, read and complete Step #1.
That will tell you for certain (there is one other exception to the above that we know about).

You should also be able to find the device serial number on the box label (if you still have it).
The serial number will be in the 'Manage Devices' page of your Amazon account. Use your browser to increase the text size until you are sure of that 6th character.
(they should all look like the same 6th character, either "F" or "B" (bee) )

If you suspect eye sight problems, have some one else double check for you.

That might take awhile, since the KindleTool maintainer is away at school.

Part of the reason for being sure that the model number wasn't mistaken is that we have an (un-published) list of "expected model numbers" and 0KE, 0KF isn't on the list.
So either Lab126 has started smoking the wrong thing, or has changed their model series template.
