I just pre-ordered mine, the last several Kobos I have ordered directly from Kobo com. Never had a delivery problem or a delay.

My order was confirmed today.

It will ship September 27 to my sister in the U.S.

She will immediately ship it to me in Peru. In about three months, it will arrive.

When Sur-post calls me down to pick it up, the empty box will be great to look at. My one hope is that the box will not be torn too much, because I plan to frame it, as I understand it's really a wonderful work of art.

I hope to have mine tomorrow: it has arrived in the Fnac most convenient for me, I'm just waiting for them to send me the necessary SMS (in my experience it can take quite long).

I wanted to download the User Guide, but the most recent device guide available is for the Aura HD. I found them very useful and am very disappointed that Kobo seems to have discontinued them. I didn't need it for the Glo HD because the UI was similar to the Aura HD, but I gather from the reviews that the interface has been significantly modified for the Aura One.

I hope the sleepcover for the Aura One (50€) will be available before I need it next for travel (25 September). I would also have liked to handle it before buying it.

My GloHD had a User Guide included on the device in .kobo/guide/userguide.pdf.

I don't know whether it was always there or whether it was downloaded when I attached the GloHD to the PC and kobo.com when I did the initial set-up.

It was waiting for me. Should have phoned earlier.

First impression, opening it in the metro: beautiful, feels light and well balanced in my one-hand reading left hand, though small and very arthritic. I'll see how it goes after hours long reading.

It will feel strange without the patches though.

Spanish: 6.2 => 6.8
Italian: 9.3 => 2.6
the translation dictionaries for same languages unchanged

Menus
As said in one of the reviews, the menus are a mix of French and untranslated English. I'm adjusting parameters and "économie d'énergie et confidentialité" for instance doesn't make sense: there is nothing about confidentiality.

Also the screen turns violently pink without rhyme or reason - I'll turn anything automatic off.

I just noticed I have a June F/W, although the kobo apparently upgraded when I initialized it.

Just hope the light and menus will improve with a quick upgrade. While waiting for this I'll download just a few books and won't modify dictionaries or apply patches.

Nice! Is there a lot of FNAC related things preinstalled? I got the H20 there and I vaguely remember doing some things to remove the FNAC logo, etc.
Also, I never connected the H20 to the internets, thanks to a tip here, have you registered your Aura One with FNAC/Kobo?

I am not sure, I undderstood this correctly, the dictionarys are all way bigger but the device is not fun?

ETA Wait, is the German dictionary smaller now?
