Assistance with a kindle keyboard wifi
I just grabbed one yesterday, it has firmware 3.4.2 on it, I can't find a jailbreak anywhere, nor any guides, can anyone assist? To be honest, I just want to be able to organize my books and read manga on it :S

I assume that's the one? When it's installed, will it still show kindle 3.4.2 as the firmware or will it display something custom? Sorry for all the questions, I used to know how to do this but its been yrs. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88004 For the legacy methinks? I ran the update but can't tell if it took :S I feel like a n00b

That all seems correct.
No change to the firmware version that is displayed. I don't recall what feedback the K3 jail break provides on success. Try to install one of the update_*.bin packages for your K3. If the "update your kindle" selection is gray'd out, then either the package isn't for your device or your not jail broken. |
