I would love a larger, lighter e-reader. I enjoyed my DX but it is a bit heavy. My parents use the DX we got them religiously. It allows them to use a larger font more easily because they can get a lot more print on the page. I would buy an update DX in a heart beat.

I would not want a larger ereader to tote around, for home use only. My 3.5" lg fuel sometimes feels too large in my pocket, and I have no desire to carry anything more than that in my pocket.

I do not think there will be another new eINK-Kindle this year, either. Interesting enough Amazon lists the "new" Paperwhite 3 under last years "7th generation". |

Little OT, but has anyone bought a completely decked-out Kindle Voyage? The addition of Wi-Fi plus 3G is $70 and getting rid of the ads will set you back another $20 for a grand total of $289.00! I can live without 3G, but $219 is still a rather righteous chunk of change. The only truly meaningful advantage I can see is the haptic page turns, which does make it very tempting.

The only big upgrade I can see would be a 6.8". The H20 proves it would sell. I'm not sure how theyd price it. But my word the Voyage is pricey. How much would a 6.8 flatscreen be? Eeek. And the 6.8 flatscreen and light has never been done. Maybe they'd release an 6.8" PW3 non-flat and leave the Voyage as a 6". But really they'll probably just do some boring non-upgrade. Water-proof or something. A 6.8" flatscreen Voyage would be nice. Would be funny watching people blow cash. |

It largely drives H2O sales. It may be boring to you, but to people who commute using public transportation it is a great feature. It's also good for reading at the pool or beach, but those are niche activities whereas waiting for the bus or train are not. Plus the aforementioned bathtub. | |

Let's see, how many slippery slopes can we fall down today? Somehow, these "new Kindle expected" threads always devolve into the same group of people insisting that what Kindles Really Need is bigger size/adjustable fonts/hobby horse of the day. Also, the obligatory mention by Jon about never putting your Kindle in your pocket. This despite that none of these have anything to do with the "new Kindle expected" -- or at least, no one actually suggested they do. Also, the topic has been . @eschwartz: You could put a new twist to it: What the new Kindle really needs ... Is the exact same form factor as the Voyage is right now, but with seamless transition from screen to bezel. Make the 6" screen in middle so that it uses all the area for text - no margins. And then use the bezel (now also eink white) as margin.

I don't care how many new kindles Amazon comes up with. As long as my Paperwhite 2 is in working condition I'm not updating. There's no reason and the damn thing is awesome already.
