I'm in Germany. I don't have Goodreads (not even the icon) when using my German account, but when switching to my US one. I have to change shops on the website, not the reader.

Goodreads integration is currently a US-only (or perhaps US and Canada, I don't know) feature.

ive got a uk and us account , my question is ( i cant rember how) how can i get books from us account without messing up the books and loosing the uk ebooks.

i seem to remember i did use the us account but cant remember how i set the kindle to link to it ( did it about 5 years ago but havent used it so use uk.

i use good reads a lot so would like to use this option on my new kindle.

The only way to get US books is to add a US address to your UK Amazon account and then in Manage Your Kindle/Settings/Country add the US address, this switches your Kindle to the U.S., and you can then only buy kindle books from the U.S. When you want to return to the UK you do the same process starting from your US account in reverse.

This is a bit dodgy as its against the terms and conditions of your Kindle account so you run the risk of Amazon catching you and maybe even terminating your account.

I did it years ago but I haven't done it for a long time. I don't actually find it worth doing anymore as its rare to find books for sale in the US that aren't in the UK, and invariably the UL is the same price or cheaper anyway,

I seem to recall you wanted a Kindle Fire so personally I'd use the android Goodreads app on that rather than switching back and forth on your ereader.
