No, not really. You say "not equitable" but it's clear that you mean "not what I want." They ARE the same class: High-end dedicated ereaders, and comparing them is quite proper. The features you list are not an inequity on either side, they are differentiators. On the matter of screen size, were 5" readers ever significant less expensive than 6" readers? And 5 to 6 is a bigger percentage jump than 6 to 6.8. ApK

What adds more to the cost though, the .8" in display size of the HD or the higher pixel density of the Voyage? I'd guess that at this point & time the high pixel density displays might have a higher rejection rate as they get things up and running so they might cost more than a display that's been in use for a while.

Raises hand. I have about 3,500 books on a card (transferred as kePub using Calibre) and it runs pretty smooth. That said I don't need the feature & only started doing things that way because occasionally I've had the reset my device due to glitchy firmware (this way I don't have to re-transfer everything).

Hear, hear! If the smart people of MR can jailbreak it, I'll think about getting one. Maybe. Especially if I can get it on sale.

How long does it take you to go from collection to collection? Do you ever have trouble with covers not appearing? Occasional lockups? Perhaps they have fixed the issues in one of the recent firmware updates.

Also, I think PRS+ allowed the touchscreen to be deactivated on a Sony.

I don't use collections anymore, I generally just use the library search which is quite responsive. Not had any trouble with covers and never had a lockup.

That must have fixed it up a lot in the last few firmware updates. Ok, to revise what I said before, I only know of one person who has a large library on an SD card on the Aurda HD.

I have a large library on replaced internal SD cards in my Mini and Glo. They run just as fast as the original cards they were shipped with. So, I don't need an exterior card on the Glo since they have 16gb and 32 gb internal cards.

If the OS is on the card, they could still offer a reader with different card sizes, for a reasonable amount of extra money. It would make usage easier, and still one-up the Kindle regarding storage. Last edited by Katsunami; 09-23-2014 at 03:59 PM.
