Yes, I noticed this few days after v3.5.0 was released.
It seems that Kobo has decided to retract the update.
Maybe they found some issue with 3.5.0?

Hi Bob,

Just to clarify what I observed on my Glo: The "chapter" information is not correct (Chapter 0) but the "chapter progress" is OK.

Of course, all previous annotations made in the book that I'm reading before the 3.5.0 update are wrong (chapter 0, chapter progress 0%) ...

Is that after you close and reopen the book? And is it on the main memory? If so, that's a very long standing bug. It's also what messes up the location sorting.

Can anyone confirm this ?? I just manually updated to 3.5.0 ( patched) but none of the above problems occured on my Aura HD..

None of this is accurate on my Glo. Chapter progress shows 0%, chapter name is wrong...in fact, it shows the last place I used the navigation interface to jump to as the chapter/location for all my annotations in that book.

That is true, but is this also in this case.... is 3.5.0. officially retracted or not... Mailed Kobo, but I don't think they will answer before end of 2014 ( I have a long record of them not answering mail or just point out to a FAQ that has nothing to do with the problem..)

I do know that after I reverted to 3.2, I accidentally left auto-sync on. Last night it upgraded to 3.3, not 3.5. (I've since reverted back to 3.2 again.) My affiliate is Kobo itself; the fact I didn't go to 3.5 strikes me as odd.

That happens to me all always and if you read back I am not the only one,they never send everybody the 3.5.0 or any other firmware the same time, so that doesn't mean it is retracted.. here in The Netherlands we are always 2 or 3 weeks behind..

Whether a certain FW is sent to your device depends on your affiliate rather than on your geographical location. Of course, there is no official statement by Kobo, but it seems that at present no affiliate sends FW 3.5.0.

How can you decipher your affiliate when it seems to be a code? Mine is listed as affiliate=ABA20E2818. I was tempted to try changing it to something that will get updates quicker for my spare reader, just to see what new changes were on the reader I wouldn't really be using (although I'll admit the updates I've seen just this week just convince me that staying on older firmware is the way to go).
