Cindy Gerald's latest book it's book two in the One eye Jack series which is a spin off of her Special ops series which is a spin off of her Bodyguard series.

So not reading this year. Plan to start at the beginning in the new year and maybe by next Christmas I'll be there probably not but oh well.

Okay here is the books I bought for last week at least some of them.

I read a chapter of Revealing Us would have read more but my HDX sucks so hopefully the Nexus will solve this problem.
I also read the first chapter of Some Kind of Wonderful (Christmas Story) that I posted about earlier and once again had to stop due the crappy HDX which is sitting on my coffee table in a box ready to go bye bye to the UPS store. Anyways the first chapter looks great! I love the heroine so far and there is a dog in this and a baby you can't get better than that except maybe add a cat yes that would make it perfect. Oh wait yes it has a hunky hero too.

My hunky hero is driving me nuts so much pressure to graduate so he a constantly grizzly bear maybe that why I feel like suddenly reading a good Cozie instead of romance.

There's nothing in the description mentioning it either or I wouldn't have grabbed it.

So looks like this Christmas book will be for next year.

That is so frustrating! Whenever I've done that I end up not being able to go backwards and read book #1. Sometimes the spinoffees I can get through, but not always.

I tried to find the offer on my Fire HD for almost an hour. As soon as I saw that posted. I tried everything to re-fresh my offers, nothing worked. I never even got a chance to try.

And I realized I haven't bought any books this week. Thanks to the help by Blossom and others, I now have a virtual library that tells me what I bought without me having to do anything. Well other than making sure the date matches purchase date when I put it in Calibre. I am still having issues though figuring out how to set other VL. I have one with all my borrowed stuff in it. I mean library, paper, kindle borrowed, etc.

But I was trying to exempt the read ones so I only have the unread borrows. It just doesn't work. I tried the string from the date purchased thingy so I had added at the end and not tag so and so. But nothing. But adding the unread tag doesn't do anything either. Oh well, much of calibre is still a mystery for me anyway.

I know!!! I really want to read Gerard, I've heard good things, but I tried her first book in her first series and about fell asleep. IMO, it was boring. So I'm trying to decide if I should read out of order to get to the higher rated books or just slog on. I think in this instance if she'd just started out with brand new series she might actually garner more readers, having so many interconnected books is a bit of a turn-off.

The only people that got one was 1 click buyers from what I read it was more like 15 seconds and they were gone. If you tried add to cart it wouldn't work.

Oh don't tell me that! I have most of her first series bought many years ago. Lisa Renee Jones has books done this way but the woman can write! Her Security Agency series is connected with her Inside Out Trilogy and yes I didn't know before I started to read it so I have to go back and read the other one. Kristen Ashely's books are connected and written in the same world.

All I ask is a head's up about it I paid $9 for a (once a year Christmas splurge) then $6 for the other one. I return the books. Amazon let me even though 7 days are up once I explain about them being connected and nothing told me they were from a spin off unless I read reviews and those contain spoilers. Gotta love Amazon their Customer Service is top notch even if there tablets aren't anymore.

They have a Kindle App a nice Kindle app compare to the Android version.

You can also liberate your books and convert to epub and use a epub reader like Marvin. Yes I read up on this when I thought about going with the iPod Touch before I got my hands on the SGP 4.2

There are iOS apps for books, movies & music from Amazon.

Well you wouldn't need to convert your files because if you use the Kindle app on your iPad then you can just download the books directly from the cloud. Before using Marvin as my reader I always used the Kindle for iPad app. That worked, the only reason for changing to Marvin is because the application is WAY and I mean WAY more robust than the Kindle app.

I happen to really like the Marvin app so every book I get, I run through Calibre and convert to epub. So I always have a mobi and epub version of each book.
