So you suggest to simply add a new html file to one of these system paths... I was just a little afraid of this, that's why I was thinking to use interrogatePillow etc.
But probably you are right, it gets actually too complicated in that way. It would have been really nice to load up html with absolute path instead of only these in system folder only... but it isn't possible I guess Last edited by Aeris; 10-27-2013 at 12:34 PM. |

I've tried again and it doesn't load any html files from usr/local/tests/pillow on Paperwhite 5.3.4 I've already tested something similar to what did you right, using instead the absolute path... I'll try yours too UPDATE: Nothing ![]() Last edited by Aeris; 10-27-2013 at 12:41 PM. |

I believe, Pillow just loads HTML page, but doesn't show it by default. Loaded page should show itself. sample_custom_dialog does show itself on loading, using JavaScript code. Note that sample_custom_dialog's HTML page definitely loads scripts (and CSS). By relative URL paths.

Ah right! I'll put absolute path to all of them and retry! Thank you for your patience, Eureka..

I've tried the trick with .. and Pillow found requested file on /mnt/us. I see it in recent log entries (they don't contain "file missing" messages). But window is not shown, so certainly JavaScript part is crucial.

That's great! I tought didn't work because I was missing the proper path for javascripts etc then....
Must I set it like the following? Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="///usr/share/webkit-1.0/pillow/sample_custom_dialog_strings.js"> Last edited by Aeris; 10-27-2013 at 01:33 PM. |

Yay, path problem simply solved copying the whole pillow folder into mnt/us/extensions/example !! Dots notation works great, I'm so happy! Later I'll keep only the needed stuff
![]() Now I can play with the file without any risk of harming the device ![]() |

To understand better just use online indentation tools (I'll do it in the next "release", now I'm too impatient to try it out xD)
