Yep, the tedious process I kept putting off for like 3 years has been a wakeup call. It cured me from the oh-what-the-heck one clicks.

I have over 400 purchased books I haven't even read yet, there is no need to add more to the already large free pile.

Yep. I keep looking at sales like those and then I think about all those books I bought already that are still way down the list. I am currently reading a book I bought in 2011. And I only accidentally stumbled over it while resorting my kindle collections.

But unfortunately like you, 99 centers have become my new freebie one click addiction.

My library is a little over 4700 with 4000 still unread. I've been reasonably picky about what I add, a very large percentage of my freebies being previously published backlist titles. Between my custom "shelf" column and virtual libraries I see no reason to purge anything. I like to think of myself as glom-ready with all the backlist stuff.

My problem is I missed a book I would love to have gotten for free a while back that hasn't been free since (at least, according to ERIQ, and they would know, right?), and I have this fear of missing something that I might really want to read. I blame my problem on ONE BOOK (which I of course ended up buying).
