Do you think that they will make a Mini Glo?

			Hi,

I am very curious of your opinions. I would purchase a Mini with light in a heartbeat if they would make one available. I am on the go and find that it would be so nice to have a smaller unit with a light. Some say that it would never happen...what do you all think? Penny |

If they did, I too would buy one in a minute, because due to changed life-situations I now do most of my reading in bed and at night in a fully reclined position.

Also, for those times I nod off, the weight of a mini striking my nose will cause less pain. ![]() ![]() Don Last edited by Dr. Drib; 04-29-2013 at 07:35 PM. |

It looks like they are end-of-lifeing the current Mini, the price has dropped in half in multiple countries.

This means one of two things: they are either killing off the Mini, or they are bringing out a better one. The only real features that can be added to the Mini are: higher resolution screen, Glo, and a micro-SD card. |

I got my Mini today, and it is nice, but a light would make it so much better. I would probably buy one. (Unless I go for a Glo or an Aura instead)

I didn't see the point at first, but actually, a Mini with Glo would be very nice. I'd certainly consider it when it's time to upgrade mine - as long as they iron out some of the glitches (and stop introducing new ones!).

I'd like some more diversity in the big name ebook readers, and the Kobo Aura is a good first step. Maybe I'm a minority in that wish, as it seems many manufacturers of ebook devices have streamlined their offerings into one or two current models. However if Kobo were to release a Kobo Mini Glo I'd personally be onto it in a flash. My favourite reader out of those I've used past and present is still the compact Sony Reader 350, but I'm too spoilt by the light now and being able to read in all types of lighting conditions.

(I use public transit and read outside the home a lot. I'm currently using the Glo as an 'upgrade' to my 350 and while the Glo is an excellent device, I miss the comparable portability of a 5" device. Every bit of size or weight counts when trying to travel light.) |

If they make a 5 inch reader with a light it would have to be an all new model with a new name. They would probably call it something else like the Kobo Firefly. I guess it's possible if people want it.

No, I don't think they would make a mini glo. The mini fills a niche of the entry level ereader tablet. It brings people into the store to check it out because of the price but I suspect most people end up going for the Glo. It still sells but I think it sells based on its price point and not its smaller size.

I would buy a Mini Glo in a heartbeat as well. I love the small size of my Sony 350s and how portable it is, fitting into just about any pocket.
