				Wooden case for Sony Reader

Just wanted to pass this along - I had a friend on Etsy make me a wooden case for my reader. I have cats and was afraid one of them might step on the reader in its leather cover and damage the screen. This wooden box (maple) was made to order, and the reader with cover fits *perfectly* in it. http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction...on_id=10083878 |

That's a beautiful box! I've got cats too (three of 'em) And I've worried about one of them stepping on my Reader-especially the 17 pounder; I have a plastic pencil box I got at Staples to put it in, but it's not a perfect fit. If I may ask, how much did your custom box cost? Seventeen-pound Murphy: And so they don't feel left out..... Abby the Tabby & Maggie the Calico: |

Very nice, heatherc! Thanks for sharing it. I hope you won't mind, but I'm adjusting your thread title slightly: eReader is a reading software, the Sony device is called simply Reader. Just to make things a bit more confusing, the eReader software, and it's e-book format are completely incompatible with Sony's Reader. Because of that,we try to avoid referring to one by the other's name. The names are so close that it's plenty confusing, and we're trying to prevent folks from buying eReader books and later discovering that they won't work on their Sony Reader. It's happened more than you might imagine. Thanks again for showing us your box, I hope you get a lot of use and enjoyment out of both it and your Reader! |

Ooh, I want one. Much nicer than my homemade one out of the DVD security box. And now I don't feel so bad about the vet telling me to put my cat on a diet - she's a mere 14 1/2 pounds. |

Yep Murph is a BIG boy that's for sure. He's always been a large cat (he once weighed in at 18.2 pounds!) but the vet suggested perhaps he could loose a bit of weight. I cut down on the snacks but I figure at nearly 14 years old he can eat what he wants as long as he's healthy otherwise, knock wood. (I lost his brother to cancer just shy of a year ago) | |

Looks nice! :-) You might want to mention to your friend that if she wanted to add it to her product range, I'd guess that there's be a reasonable amount of interest here.

Good thing I don't leave my BeBook in a place where my Bernese Mountain Dogs can get to it... The older one weighs in at a 100 pounds and the "puppy" at 44 pounds at 16 weeks old.... They would make mincemeat out of my reader, and I would not be a happy camper. They've thrashed enough paperbacks already |

It was a custom job...but you can contact her through Etsy and have one made. You can even choose the wood you want to use.
