I read and wondered about that, too.

If you display the full booklist, the 'sort' button at the top pulls up a page which includes 'Latest Read' as one of the sort options. What I'm not sure about is whether that otion has always been there on the T1 as I've always used 'Author' for my sort sequence.

Might that be it?

Nope. There's an option now in General Settings, called Recent View, which lets you choose between Added and Read. This applies to the Recent section of the Home page.

The hack might be useful still, because it's a hybrid of both these options, but I suppose this will suffice for most people.

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, I don't have this option under General Settings on my T1. I need to investigate.

Yes, I have a T1 with 1.0.04.12210. Athough my T1 has never been rooted, I did have cause to use porkupan's restore program (I won't bore you with the details). I'm wondering if that's the reason? Anyway, no big deal, Kolenka's hack is still OK. If I ever get to the bottom of it, I'll post anything which may be useful to others.

I don't have this option either. I have a never-rooted T1 with 1.0.04.12210. My Homescreen only shows "Recently Added" and General Settings offers 4 options: Page Turn Preference, Menu Language, Keyboard, Country/Region.

My friend with the T2 says her T2 is the same, except under General Settings she has a 5th option: something about Sony Store notifications.

What's going on?

OK, I admit that mine is rooted, so it might be actually a part of the root thing. I guess I trusted the wiki page way too much when it said it belonged to the firmware version. If it's the case, I'm sorry for the confusion.

I suppose the general "umderwelment" has stopped the rush of reviews. It does sound like Sony has made some improvements, but not enough for me to upgrade. I will wait and see what next year brings.

Would be very interested in this as well. I've read somewhere that even though the specs for the display is the same, Sony have done something to improve contrast/clarity.
Where I live it is not possible to go to a store to check somethinng like that out, as ebook readers are something you have to purchase online.
