Feel better!

Water and more water. Hydration good. Walking to the bathroom is good exercise. This is a win win situation.

I am getting most of my energy back. I was exhausted through most of the first trimester but find myself able to get by without a nap most days now. It is nice.

And thanks for the concern. My lower back is now better again after a good night. I really do think it was that office chair (I was in at a client's site on Wednesday).

At my home office I have a splendid Varier Variable (Balans) chair. Although mine's an older model in red leather that I've now had for nearly 20 years.

As a person with back problems, those look incredibly uncomfortable to me. Do they really help you?

Oh, yes. Most of your weight is on the seat, almost none on your legs. I tuck my feet back and rest them on the runners. Although one of the good things is that you can adjust your position a lot while still sitting.

Mine cost me around £400, and was worth every penny. (The higher cost was for the leather upholstery, which really needs renewing now, after 20 years. But the fabric covers need replacing every couple of years, if you use the chair a lot.)

I use a similar chair for my main office chair at work. Mine is metal framed though. I find them excellent and it has really helped my back issues.

Good morning, all! I've just returned from the shop and I have my trusty steed once more tethered to the 'ol hitching post outside. Too bad it's pouring outside or I'd go for a ride!

Instead, I'm sitting here with a mug of Keemun tea, hot bagels spread with cream cheese and Norwegian smoked salmon. All in all, a good morning!
