Of course, from what I know of you and your inclination for French fries, hamburgers and pizzas (probably all dressed with double cheese), not to mention the fazenda of hot peppers that you have in your garden... Be good now, Prof. and take good care of you.
My Doctor is aware of the blood pressure issues. It has been normal since I got pregnant which is a huge improvement. The salt cravings are my weakness, always have been. I just need to have some more will power.

We make our own pizza dough and sauce. The pizzas are actually pretty healthy, normally peppers, spinach, onions, cheese, and some pepperoni. No preservatives or additives, well except the pepperoni. I would guess that our pizzas have about 2/3 less cheese and pepperoni then one delivered.

For the most part I am eating pretty healthy. I added breakfast to my daily regime and have been making sure to eat yogurt every day (non-fat but still has calories. Between those two changes I have added about 500 calories to my diet. So I need to cut back on the chips and fries but probably I would be better off getting myself to the gym 4 or 5 days a week.

I have been so tired after work that I have let my workouts slide. I am going to bring my work out gear to work and go at lunch time since I am not wiped out then. If I get to work 30 minutes earlier and stay 30 minutes later I can make up the time easily enough.

@ beppe - I love the 3 wise men scene and thank you for sharing the photos. My ex-father-in-law (deceased) owned a company that took on major building projects around the world and one year they purchased hand-carved olive wood nativity manger scenes for all the grandkids. It was a yearly tradition for my son to unwrap and place all the pieces. It was quite large and required a lot of space, but he loved being the one in charge of that each year. I love the idea of moving the 3 magi closer each night and wish we had done that when he was younger.

@ Stitchawl - thank you for the photo. I love all the ones to post for us.

So you don't drink green and oolong teas but eat chips and fries? Eat home made pizza made of wheat (regardless what you put on top of it)?

It shows I am getting old and contemporary medicine has advanced a lot. I don't understand this sort of healthy eating for pregnant women or otherwise.

Well right now its GONE. All of it was eaten up. Its really easy to make, here is the recipe I was given...

Quote:
4 slices of any bread, 12 eggs, I think its 1lb of sausage the jimmy dean small tube regular, 1 cup of milk, cheddar cheese 1lb. Tare bread into pieces and place in 9x13 dish. Cook sausage. Mix cooked sausage, milk (1 cup), eggs (12), and about half the cheese. Pour mix into pan over bread. Top with rest of cheese. Refrigerate overnight if you want (not needed). Cook for about 1hour at 350. You can also add any seasoning you want to egg mix.
Obviously lots of room for variation, but gives you a place to start.

Black Slik in my cup as I try to force myself to read more book review sites trying to find ANY that are still taking reviews and have less then multi-year wait lists. Some of these review sites are down right painful to look at too. I need to get rich so I can pay ppl to do this for me... and fast!

Dear ProfCrash,
The only piece of advice from silly Astra. Forget what I said, it was probably stupid, silly, incorrect etc., but do one thing, please. Forget about your Doctor. Find yourself a good specialist dietitian. Talk to this specialist.
I won't comment on this subject anymore. I am only IT Techie.

Need another cup of...dunno. Re-steep Dragon Well? Eucalyptus? Passion flower?

Nah it sounds weird. The Pizza is not the healthiest thing in the world but it is not nearly as bad as people might think and it can be made so that it is healthy.

Tea has caffeine so it is out. The Red Tea has all the good stuff that is in the green and oolongs but none of the caffeine.

Honestly, dropping three workouts a week is more of an issue then what I am eating. Minus the potato chips.

I bought a few new teas yesterday. In a Polish shops.
Two teas of Loyd Tea, probably Polish brand.
Assam for 0.96p/100gr
Yunnan 0.99p/100gr
Another Yunnan Yunnan Noir 0.99p/100gr (China Tea (Yunnan) Co., Ltd.)

She insisted that we should try it for this incredible price and promised that if I disqualify any or all of them she will drink it at work. So, I relented

Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart

Live free, and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star

Stay free, where no walls divide you
You're free as a roaring tide
So there's no need to hide

Good morning, everyone! Another Saturday morning in the sun... 6 degrees outside, but a mug or two of Yorkshire tea will deal with that. We're off looking for adventure today, in the mountains to the south-east of Kyoto... Uji....Those are the tea growing areas so not really mountains in the Rockies or Alps sort of thinking. More like sharp hills, with rivers running through the valleys. Pretty countryside and perfect motorcycle roads.

Pizza can actually be a VERY healthy meal. Tomato, cheese, wheat, etc. It's the extra toppings that can cause the problems. Too much fat if a lot of pepperoni or sausage is added. To have pizza as one meal out of a week's diet is no problem at all. The problem is the way we Americans, especially teenagers, have handled pizza eating; i.e. substituting pizza for many meals during the week, rather than looking at it in a more rational manner.

Quote:

That really IS a big issue. It's those workouts, or even modified versions of them, that will keep you and your baby in better physical condition. You owe it to both of you to press on with them. Even if you cut the conditioning itself by 50%, the continuation of doing it three times a week will make a very big difference in how YOU bounce back after delivery, and insure the baby gets all the benefits too!

Time for that second mug of Yorkshire tea!

LOL makes sense thats the first place I saw them, and it was perfect to cook in the morning to a breakfast party at work. Never heard it called that, but its a fitting name!
