Well the man is 56 yrs old. Maybe he wants to slow down and enjoy more leisure time. Certainly running a big company like Apple can't leave you with a lot of free time.

I hope his health is good enough to allow him to enjoy many post-CEO years. I will enjoy the next several days of commentary in the mainstream and tech press. I am looking forward to the release of his biography by Walter Isaacson. Last edited by RockdaMan; 08-24-2011 at 06:53 PM. |

If the man is truly a good leader, he will have prepared for his leaving by training up a replacement.

I suspect the name of the site is what is causing the rumors issue.

I hope his retirement (or whatever his plans) is accompanied by good health. Apple should be just fine.

				Sad

He's probably dying. Putting feelings aside, he would not do that to the company he loves and likes. This will affect Apple's stocks for sure. I don't like most of his business models, even though I own couple of his products, but he really changed the IT world, like Bill Gates. His leadership will be missed and difficult to replace inside Apple. |

Steve Jobs single-handedly screwed up the eBook market by helping to create the agency 6. Well done Steve. No matter what good he's done, he will always be remembered for this.
