What did you think everybody would say?

BTW, I don't believe E-ink displays actually have 'pixels' per se. They are closer related to Etch-a Sketches.

It's a PRS-650. It says it on the box and on the back of the reader.

Wordeater, if you take a magnifying glass, you can see the pixels on the words.

I do have a feeling that Sony cheaped out on their latest production version of the PRS-650, due to the latest economic situations within the company. Why would a PRS-650 which I tried a few months ago, it was brand new too, feel a lot more expensive in terms of the materials used. The rubber on the back on my PRS-650 feels a lot more cheaper in quality.

They are not pixels in the true sense of the word. They are tiny spheres with one half being black and the other white. They are suspended in a bubble of oil which allows them to rotate, so you either see black or white. Sounds like one of yours is not rotating.

Personally I don't agree with that, I have just purchased a 650 and the quality is excellent. From what you and everyone else has said I think you must have been sold a display model that has had a lot of attention.
But whatever the reason is for this just take it back and demand a replacement, in fact you should have done that as soon as you took it out of the box.

True words! I bought one of them four or five weeks ago and it is manufactured to the same high standard they always were.

Why don't you take it back? Everyone here told you it is not normal and you should take it back to get an exchange. Do you like complaining better than a perfect reader or what makes you not walking straight back to where you bought it?

Rubber on the back of a 650? That seems weird. Last time I checked, the 650 had an aluminum case with no rubber or textured plastics like the Kobo or Nook.

Color me confused.

No, the back is plastic with a coating. The front is aluminium. This is why it is lighter than the 505.

We all did, but ardeegee educated us about it. He taught us a fun way to tell the difference. The aluminium is a cold sensation when held to the upper lip. Now try front and back of your reader and you will know.

I am NOT! I mean we go to bed with each other every night and where I got to the Sony goes with me and entertains me, teaches me something new sometimes and I stroke it, whenever we spend time together, but I am not loving it too much!!!

No! I can't love it enough for the joy it gives me

Thumbs up

I just know your relationship will blossom, and mature, over the years............

There will be hard times

there will be easy times

but you will both emerge triumphant and stronger as a result........

A-a-a-h-h.... I just love a happy ending.
