By the way, let me remind you, I owned a Nook Color, I owned a Nook .. I talk with experience, I am not jumping into Kindle's forum to give an advice when I don't even have a Kindle.

Actually I think you are lying about ever owning a nook or nook color, the things that come out of mouth are almost always dead wrong.

And I will say it again, this is a Kindle sub forum, I think it's rather tacky to go into other's sub forums and start ranting what you do not like about their choice

I'll never understand why anyone would want to read books on an LCD.
If all I had was an ipad, I'd still be reading paper books.
Of course if you don't mind it, why not go all out and get a real, fully functional tablet?

Same here.

It's all about the screen for me. Can't do it on an iPad, but I can on other tablets. I find it quite enjoyable.

I love my ipad, but not for reading (except magazines and manuals). The kindle really rocks as an ereader.

I looked at the nook color for a few minutes at Best Buy. It's nice, but a little too small for me. I also specifically didn't like the way ebooks were displayed. I much prefer my K3 for reading.

Obviously, for the web, games and so on you're going to want something more like the nook color, but for just reading there's really no contest, the Kindle is superior.

I agree that the battery life of the kindle is sooooo nice. I have a K3 and a Pandigital and over several months like the pandigital for reading - my eyes are not the greatest and it is easier to read overall - especially reading for a long time. Also like all the fun OTHER things you can do on the tablet, Nook Color's new firmware is supposed to turn it into a passable tablet :-)

As is? Not really. The Barnes and Noble app store is extremely anemic in offerings and what is there is overpriced compared to other places like the Android Marketplace and Amazon App store. Given the way Amazon seems to be coming on like gangbusters with their Android Apps and the rumored tablet in development, I was really kind of surprised to see how underdeveloped the new firmware and App store seems to be.

I'm hoping that a workable root process for the new firmware comes out soon. As of right now my NC is wifi off in order to prevent the update.

My Kindle and Nook get along just fine. Sometimes the Kindle's on top and other times the Nook is. I don't interfere.

The real bottom line is:

I will NOT permit you calling me a liar, ever again. In fact, will keep an eye on your posts and the way you treat other users as well, Kindle users to be more specific.
