No darn it, I got it wrong - I said cardboard box .... crap!! Of course I may have had that confused with this question, which also has the same answer:
1. Spend days looking over the Step2 catalog to find the "Perfect" stimulating toy for your growing child.

That was years ago and we ended up giving the stupid kitchen set away. Maybe we could have just got her a kitten and killed two birds with one box.

LOL My dog's favorite toy is his Nylabone but his other favorites are paper bags, plastic bags and empty boxes. He probably thinks he's the most awesome dog in the world because every time we go to the store or a delivery driver comes to the door, he gets something to play with. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time cleaning up his "toys" after he destroys them.

ETA Requisite Rant: I'm still sick and I think I bruised a rib coughing last night. Not happy.

Thats the kind of cough syrup that Stitchawl was talking about I think, not only do you stop coughing, you also see psychedelic colours and if you concentrate you can see the walls breath

And is very constipating, but the opiod effects mean you don't care about being plugged up.

Until I get insurance again, I have to deal with a clinic. Good people there, but asking for narcotics is the surest way NOT to get them. LOL My roommate is stopping on his way home to get me something.

I don't really need to talk to the doc again, honestly. I am getting better. It's just that anytime I get anything like this, it's followed by a major sinus overreaction. Those of you with sinus problems know how that can be, and it's been added to by seasonal allergies. It feels like the worst head cold ever. I can assure you that the actual infection of whatever I was struck with last week is gone. This is just the aftermath. Painful, annoying, but not serious. My temp has not passed 99.6 in five days.

If I could learn to sleep sitting up, I probably wouldn't even have much of a cough. It's just that post-nasal drip... drip.... drip... while I'm laying down, and my lower respiratory system says, "Hey! We don't want that junk down here! Hork it up!"

Yeah, that was gross, but that's how it works.

LOL I was plagued with sinus infections as a kid. I had my first taste of codeine cough syrup when I was 12. It's awesome stuff.

As for the plugging up - a very large dose of vitamin C can clear that up. Trust me.

Also get some Vicks salve to rub on your chest. It will help with both the cough and sinuses. Drink as much fluid as you can force, in order to keep the mucous washed down from your throat. It is sooo important to keep the cough under control, to avoid it inflaming your throat and becoming a self-sustaining reason to cough after the original infection is gone. Cough drops or hard candy help with that.

When I was young(er) I used to get sinus infections constantly, it got to the point where the doctor was going to cauterize the mucus membranes. I cured the problem by learning to scuba dive. I haven't had a sinus infection in 25 years, or since my first open water dive. It also cured my ear infections, although I have lost most of my hearing in one ear, I don't think it's related though
