I had sent an email asking if they made the original ship date. The answer was that the date had been pushed back.

Even more puzzling, I got an email yesterday telling me my order had shipped. But it didn't specify if both covers shipped or just the non-executive one.

Ah, mystery solved. the Leisure 505 Jacket arrived today and it's pretty cool. The Reader fits perfectly into the padded frame and, with the zippered closure, it is essentially water resistant. Not waterproof but resistant enough to use at the beach, on a boat or on the treadmill. And, you can flip the reader over so the screen is facing into the padded frame to protect it while on the road or in your carry-on bag etc. Now, if they would just make it waterproof and I could figure out a way to read while I was swimming laps... I still have the Executive cover on order and will post my thoughts about that one as well once it gets here. |

Just got the Executive Jacket in the mail yesterday (5 Mar). All in all, I like it fine. The cover is padded which adds a bit of protection and it's good looking. The 505 is held in place by two leather loops at the bottom and two elastic loops on the top. Fits in securely. My only complaint is that the pockets are on the inside front cover facing the screen which limits what you can store in them |

I looked at those cases and I just don't trust those little flaps to hpld my 505 in. They should have made the 505 cover like they did the iLiad and the bookeem, where the reader slids in and then placed the inner pockets on the outside to protect the screen.

Possibly, but I suspect they're no worse than the way the OEM case connects to the 505. It looks to me as if that's fine while the plastic's new, but I wonder if the plastic will become brittle with age/UV exposure? |

Just received my MEdge "Executive cover" for my new (whoopee) 505 and I am very disappointed with the cover. It feels very harsh and cheap to the touch - not at all what I was expecting it to be like. Also makes the entire unit very bulky. I think I will stick with the standard 505 cover, it may simply be vinyl but it feels and looks better in my view. Anyone like to buy an unused MEdge cover? David |

Not that I've been able to find. It's not on Amazon yet. And the new covers aren't even on their website yet, let alone the light. I'd love to have the light, too. The mounting system they've come up with for the light looks really great. Sayhello |
