Also, btw, if anyone has more than 1 gift card and is wondering about how charges are applied in the case where 1 has an expiration date, the charges are applied to the most recently added card first.

So, if like me, you got several folks (me, dad, dad's girlfriend, husband, a friend) to buy these gift cards for you, you will have to input and use up some before being able to input them all. I'm not anticipating a problem since I have a LOT of books on my "To buy when a good deal comes along" list , but still something to be aware of...

This is a total pain, as I did the same. B&N could take a lesson from amazon which makes entering gift cards totally painless. Why keep them all separate and not just tally a credit balance like amazon does?

I suspect they tout it as a feature - you can add and remove each person's gift card, to buy books. Would work well on a shared account (with a dummy credit card attached that has no balance to draw against).

Then why make a limit of only 3? It's not like the computer database couldn't handle a couple more entries.
