Yep, except for Parkdale, I don't think I'd wander too much in those other areas. Parkdale is getting gentrified - it was so bad eventually prices went down to where ordinary people could afford to buy homes there and fix them up, not like the 'nice' neighbourhoods where half a million will buy a three bedroom bungalow... This is one expensive town to live in.

I live in Ottawa. From what i have seen so far in Canada, best city to live. Not too big, not too small. Of course, no city is perfect without sea nearby.....i do miss it. I also love Newfoundland, i think it is the most beautiful province in Canada. So different from the rest of Canada... |

does it count that I've spent a great deal of time in The Yukon, fished in Ontario, rodeo'd in Alberta and BC, skied a LOT in BC (and more than just Whistler!) and would LOVE to visit Newfoundland?

Quebec resident, here. Also a former resident of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Thinking of trying Ontario next (Ottawa), and then I'll have all of Eastern Canada covered except for Newfoundland.

Been as far west as Saskatoon - we were in the fringe festival there - just never seemed to have gotten a chance to go any further west than that. But that was a memorable trip. You gotta see the prairies to truly understand the meaning of the word "FLAT". wow! | |

Toronto here! Toronto is one of the safest cities in Canada (and North America.) The most dangerous Canadian city is Regina, Saskatchewan. It used to be "a mari usque ad mare" but now it is "from coast to coast to coast" (unofficially.) The population of the Toronto region (includes Mississauga and other surrounding municipalities) is greater than any of the other provinces except Quebec. And about 90% of our population lives within 100 miles of the Canadian-U.S. border. |
