Never used the .TXT/.HTML feature, so I can't really say

I'd advise converting your docs to MOBI, either via Calibre, or MobiPocket Creator, or whatever software you prefer

Imminent update with a K3-compatible jailbreak.

Then shortly after ss.

Fonts/USBnet will take a bit more time.

Make a new thread Ni Lu Je. That way people with k2 can go to their thread. And the k3 people will go to another one. So all very clear as to which one they need. I can give you more kudos now too!

I have to send one k3 back this week so I will update that with the update from amazon today and let you know if the hack works with the most recent update because it won't matter if it fails. Will report back in an hour or so ifmit works with 3.0.2.

I agree, since font structure is said to be different.

Yep, I was thinking about that... If it turns out I do have to re-package all the fonts posted here, I'll create a new thread, but I'm aiming at making the hack work both on K2 & K3, in a transparent manner, so, hopefully, it won't be confusing, and we can keep this thread

I can confirm - for the wifi anyway, it works with 3.0.2!!!!! It is a beautiful thing!

Okay! The fonts hack will take a bit more time, I have to think about how to properly handle the FontConfig settings (which I guess are used by the browser), but the rest looks good

.

There's even a funny
ALLOW_USER_FONT = false
setting in the default reader config, so, who knows, they may indeed have been listening to our pleas

.

And yeah, the default fonts indeed have custom TT hinting instructions now, yay'

Thank you! I installed the SS hack and then saw that 3.0.2 was available and installed that. Worked like a charm.
