Menu readability.
Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Mantano menus more readable. Things like the table of contents, the explorer and other menus use fonts so small and light as to make them nearly unreadable. If I don't have a magnifying glass handy, I'm out of luck.
Mantano does a good job except in this area and in two column mode. Regards - John |

Does anyone know how to change where Mantano downloads books from Calibre Server to? I have set up my calibre server address in Mantano's "My bookstores" and am able to access my calibre library and download books ok, but they are being downloaded to the internal storage area of my tablet. I then have to move them to the sdcard folder (which is the sync folder I have set up in Mantano).

I haven't seen info on this...but does anyone know why certain books from say my Sony epub file won't transfer to dropbox...I get the blue circle...about 1/2 of what I transferred went through fine...the rest have the blue icon instead of green...I am sooo green on this stuff LOL
Edit: NVM...It seems the larger files are taking much longer to upload completely...I guess I just need patience ![]() Last edited by shadowwolf36; 04-12-2012 at 01:51 PM. |

![]() I have calibre set up to send the books to my specific folder on my reader and the reader set up to import books from that folder. You will need to set up the device plugin (in calibre preferences/plugins/device interface plugins/"whatever device plugin you use") to set the path to your chosen folder. Once set up it works a treat for me. |

Anyone happen to have an issue where when you close the app you lose all locations in your books? This JUST started happening...I don't know why...no update or anything, just stopped doing it.

I was hoping that the latest update (2.03) would fix the problem, but it didn't; it's still doing it. |

I just swung by the Mantano home page and notice that the most prominent slogans on the page are "Get the most of your readings" and "Let's get the most of our readings, together." Do you think anyone at Mantano is aware that these phrases are borderline gibberish to native English speakers?

When I was helping them with the beta of the cloud syncing service, I had to point out numerous issues (language, spelling and grammar) with the website. When I pointed these out, they corrected them. So, unless someone point it out to them, they may not be aware of the issue. |

I see they've got a new update out. I hope this fixes the bug where the app doesn't remember the last page read. That was getting on my nerves.

Hello dear all,
Thanks a lot to Taosaur & Ghostyjack for their notification about our tagline problem. Yes we are french, I apologize for the english grammar which may sometimes occur throughout our communication. We are working hard in order to get the resources to fix this communication problem but for the time being this is still an open issue. What's wrong with "Together, let's get the most of our readings" ? Should we write "get the most out of" ? I found that both were correct but maybe this is not true ? Is there a bad pun in this tagline ? By the way, I have the pleasure to announce a few things:
Here are the details: 1/ The new product line is the following:
The Mantano Reader Free becomes unsupported. Happy users of it are encouraged to choose amongst the new products. 2/ The new Sharing feature in Mantano Cloud We started by a simple function: a user can now share a book and the related annotations with contacts. To share a book:
This sharing allows to share DRM-free ebooks as well as DRM protected books. However:
This is hopefully the beginning of a whole set of sharing options. Our roadmap includes features such as:
We will also keep improving the web interface, and provide handy browser extensions such as "Send to my Library" contextual menu items. Lastly, @Crusader: yes, we have fixed this boring problem in the latest release of Mantano Reader Premium, Essentials and Lite ! Thank you again for you support, and I apologize again for the sometimes gibberish english, I feel like a beginner in english now ! Best regards, Jean-Marie |

Hi Jean-Marie, thanks for getting back to us.
The Phrase "Together, let's get the most of our readings", by itself is fine, but I think it is wrong in the context it is being used. The problem I think stems around the use of the word "readings". It's not used commonly in day-to-day english and if frequently used for someone who is going to read something aloud to a group of other people. An example being something read out to people at a funeral or a wedding, such as a section from the bible or a poem. As this is reading software that will normally be used for a person who is reading to themselves and not out alout to others, it just doesn't feel right. You could trying something like "Together, let's get the most of our books", as this makes it a bit more understandable. Although this app is aimed at a wider audience than just fiction readers, you might want to find a word other that books that also covers the reference/technical books material as well. Either that, or try a different phase altogether. Edit: Just noticed in the phrase that it looks like you are missing a word as well, could do with inserting "out" between "most" and "of". This would read as "Together, let's get the most out of our readings". This then makes my above comments a bit more valid as without the word "out" in the phrase, it doesn't make much sense.
