I don't know. I've never checked out the collections. I got these before there was an omnibus made. It's not that I cannot fix things which I can. It's just I'm doing a lot of highlighting so I'll know what to fix when I am done reading. If I didn't add a space to the front of ever instance of italics (that doesn't start first thing on a line), I'd be giving up on this one due to the frustration level.

So for the older Dresden Files eBooks, they were made from PDF. But it is possible that the omnibus edition and maybe the singles have since been corrected since these were purchased.

As I read White Knight, the voice of Harry Dresden I hear in my head was that of Stacy Keach. It just fit so well.

Wow, I've noticed multiple errors/typos in all my Kindle versions of The Dresden Files...including missing TOC's in at least 3 books. Of course it's not enough to make me stop reading them

I wasn't seeing typos which is good. But I was seeing formatting errors that never should have been. But I have fixed them so if there is a reread, I'm set.

I might fix all the typos eventually. I'm re-reading the series and reading White Night now, I should have been keeping track of what needed to be fixed

I believe you're thinking of a couple of TV movies in the mid-80s whereas the 2 season TV series was in the late-90s.

Gee, you do that too, huh!?! How it happens with me is I get about halfway through the book and decide then that I should have been fixing/editing as I went along, but it's now too late for that approach, and I can't really think of another approach to those kinds of errors. Alas!!!

That term was coined because a lot of backlist eBooks were made via scanning a paper edition since no electronic version exists. But in the case of what I have been reading, it seems that a very poor electronic source does exist...PDF. So in White Knight, the italics and smallcaps here a nightmare. I have found that when Textcafe's PDF2XML is used, italics and smallcaps generally get screwed up. I have never seen a perfect PDF to anything else conversion and the publisher is at fault for allowing poorly made eBooks going to be sold.
