I did email them. I just checked for a reply but see my email has bounced back and is marked undeliverable.
I sent it to support@kobobooks.com, because when I tried to contact them online it would only give me the option to phone them, which I dont want to do.
I was pretty sure I had contacted them on that address before but obviously not. I will try resending it to help@kobobooks.com.
Even contacting Kobo is always a major hassle.
The book I bought was only 40c so no great loss, its the inconsistent way they run these promotions that really annoys me.

When I contact them via the web form, I reply to the copy of the complaint that they automatically send me and tell them I'm too busy to call and please address my concern via email. It's been taking them about a week to actually get back to me.

Kobo has had a very unsatisfactory customer service ever since bought by Rakuten. Rakuten also bought out buy.com and are just as awful with purchases made there.
And I agree with previous post that Amazon is much easier to deal with, the only reason I have stayed with Kobo is because I have a VOX tablet and I can use the contest codes to purchase ebooks cheaper that way than the regular price at Amazon. It truly is a shame that the company has such poor customer service.

It looks like they're starting to time these things to coincide with Canadian holidays instead of strict end-of-the-month, and this next long weekend will be BC Day (usually titled other things for people in other provinces/territories).

Five days in a row trying to use Visa Checkout. Tried different cards and it still won't go through, I get an error message for every card and every try and every book.

Thanks for the info, it hadn't changed when I checked yesterday. Don't they usually run for 10 days (or am I remembering wrong)? If so it would start tomorrow.


I could use a couple of really good codes, but never seem to get above 35% during the contests.

I'll even use the 35 percent ones, but I buy a lot of indie books, so that's still a pretty good discount. Of course, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I could get a larger code!!!

I sometimes use them too on cheaper books, but I've got a couple expensive books on my list that I won't be buying with anything but 65-75% codes
