Thanks, I've just signed up a new account, so I assume I'll get the credit. However I cant see any where in my account that shows what, if any, credit I have. Where is it noted please?

Found it, sort of. Typical for Kobo, its very un-user-freindly. The only way to see what store credit you have is to go through the process of buying a book.

However when I click on the blue Adobe DRM EPub link for the book I bought, my ADE opens up and downloads a book about The Beatles! I've never heard of this book before and I certainly wouldnt read it. I want the book I paid for.
I've tried repeatedly downloading it but have only got numerous copies of the damn Beatles book.
I have just tried deleting and reinstalling ADE, along with deleting my authorisation info and authorising it again. I even deleted my ADE folder.
Whats going on?? Is the fault at my end, or has Kobo loaded the wrong book?

Try opening the book to see if it's what you ordered, or in fact the Beatles book. I've downloaded books from Kobo before that showed all information incorrectly when loading, but when opened was in fact the book I ordered.

Its definitely The Beatles. It wasnt a cheap book either. So weird.
I have emailed Kobo. Hopefully I'll hear back in a few days and get it resolved *sigh*

I just tried downloading the book via the app on my tablet. When I sync'd the app it showed the correct book, but when I open the book, it was The Beatles.

I got 3 when I complained about not getting them from the recent promotion.

Well, I've just made things even worse. While trying to get the correct book through the app I have somehow managed to delete the book from my library altogether.
So now I have no book at all, no store credit and no 90% coupon.

Oh, the irony. Although already a customer, you opened a new account to take advantage of a $5 credit for new customers. Then you used it in combination with a coupon you got for referring yourself as a new customer. Kobo screws up, then you screw up, and you've got bupkes.

Seriously, you have to see the humor here. It's only because Kobo is so incompetent that we get all this largesse. They give with one hand and take away with another. These issues didnt happen because I already had another account. They happened solely because Kobo are completely incompetent.

Kobo dont even care how m,any accounts an individual has. I have spoken with their 'customer service' at least twice and told them I have multiple accounts. It wasnt a problem at all. They will even merge libraries from multiple account if you ask them.
They dont care if you have 20 accounts, the more the better. All they care about is the money you pay (and yes, I did still pay money for the book) and the member figures they can add to their stats.

I feel for you. Not too long ago I 'travelled' to buy a geo restricted, last in the series, on sale and with a good coupon book. A fairly racy book. The book that downloaded was a heavily religious book (was it a sign??).

Because I was out of region it was a great nuisance trying to email customer service (and I use that term loosely with Kobo). They certainly don't make it easy to find that email address.

Of course, my first ticket went nowhere and I had to go through the whole palaver twice to get a response.

Needless to say, they couldn't correct the problem so I ended up with no book and a small store credit. Sigh.

Go into Purchase History and you will see the details of the 'Beatles' purchase.
