I just got mine. I'll post more impressions and pictures later, but for now:
The screen:
The rest
I think you can tell by the tone of this entry that I am not as over the top happy as I thought I would be... That's because of the pinholes ![]() |

By adding some font that the Kindle doesn't like.... maybe an analogy... similar to adding a book that it doesn't like? There are dozens of threads in this forum on that topic.

I wouldn't even be surprised if both Kindles would run the same firmware at some point, only omitting features that need the new hardware; such as the screen refresh after more pages. I think, if Amazon wanted to, they could actually port some of the features to the Touch, but I don't think they will. |

It is with the light on. Warm white LEDs are better for your brain and your health. Blueish white LEDs may make it harder for your brain in the evening/at night to feel sleepy. They could mess with your biological clock. Some studies suggest that blueish LEDs are bad for your eyes too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_e...rcadian_rhythm http://www.livescience.com/31949-led...ye-damage.html http://www.cclvi.org/contributions/effects1.htm |

xendula, you might try a good eyeglass cleaner just to make sure there isn't some residue on the outer surface of the screen causing the pinholes. I doubt that is the issue, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try. Occasionally I see what look like pinholes on my iPad screen but a good cleaning gets rid of them.
