The only Gasoline Alley I'm aware of is the Rod Stewart album, and Tornado fries are created when a potato is cut in a spiral manner and put on a skewer before being fried.

I thought the Gunslinger/David/Marvin/Bishop group would be one of the easiest to get - I got it almost straight away, and I'm not a particular SF aficionado (at least compared with most MR members).

David could be the android from AI, I suppose.
Gunslinger - I vaguely remember Yul Brunner as an Android gunfighter
Bishop? No idea.

But let's say they're all fictional androids.

Correct. I'm not certain about Dave, but Bishop is the Android from the Alien films. And Yul Brunner's gunslinger was from the Westworld film.

1. In what year did the UK first move towards decimalisation of its currency, and how?
2. Goods in the UK must be sold using metric measures. Well, almost. One point for each exception.
3. How much were the following in old (UK) money and new money? farthing, groat, tanner, bob, florin, half crown, crown. One point for each, old and new.
4. And as an apology to US members for the UK-centric nature, what's the largest value coin it has ever been proposed that the US Mint should issue?
5. And as an apology to everyone else, what's the currently issued lowest-value coin in the world?
