The first one is correct. He suffers from Triskaidekaphobia and writes many of his books without Chapter 13.

I saw this on a program, I believe it was Ann Rule and it was about Ted Bundy. I don't remember the name of the book.

Well the question actually says a point each for author and name of the novel, which is what you got. What I meant to say was a point each for the character and the book (still only 2 points - knowing that Dickens was the author is just too easy). Have to be cruel to be kind...

Yes it was Ann Rule. She made headlines (and penned her book) after realising her close friend Ted Bundy was actually a mass murderer.
