Good morning, everyone. Thinking Caps on? Here we go...
A quick and easy one; Which is the 'deepest' ocean, what is the specific name of the deepest part? and to the nearest whatever, 'how deep is it?' (Answers such as 'water all the way to the bottom' do not count.) Stitchawl |

I'm guessing the Trench is somewhere off the coast of California and beyond, where two of the plates meet. And I know it's VERY deep - a mile?

Oh! there was a history or national geographic on this during all the 100 year Titanic shows.
I believe it was James Cameron that went down. It is named like the spaceship, the Challenger. I think both the deep part and the sub were named that. I think it is about 6 miles deep. |

But 10,000 miles is too deep... ... and 1 point for Dreams. The Challenger Deep has been charted as about 6 miles, 1,0924 meters (meters, not miles... which is probably what LiquidGear meant to say ![]() So... with one point apiece we have no definitive winner. But... as 'intent' is just as important, if neither of the other two object, let's give the next question to LiquidGear for an 'almost' two points.... Give us one, LG Stitchawl |

No peeking, Sneaky!!! You know the rules...
But I'll give you two hints... The 'name' of the mountain (it's not Olympus) was just recently mentioned as another natural geographic item in an answer to a question just the other day.... and boy, was he pissed off when he woke up! Stitchawl |
