Twilight by Stephanie Meyers in 2008?

Note to Orlok: I was going to try Tale of Two Cities by Dickens and also Don Quixote by Cervantes, but I couldn't understand everyone else's answers and then I noticed it said "ebooks".

It's an author, not a specific book. So it's someone who cranks them out....probably 4-5 a year. Popular, multiple series probably (hence the multiple releases a year). And while ebooks have been around for a while, I bet you didn't get people buying whole author libraries until they had nooks or kindles for a little while (not that those are the only e-readers, just the ones I plucked out of thin air).

So, big name, prolific author author sometime in 2010 or a little later.

Alisha is correct on the how he did it.

Poohbear guessed correctly. James Patterson sold 1.14 million ebooks by July 6th 2010.

At the time there was no single monitoring system to rank ebook sales so Hachette contacted other prominent authors and found no others passed the million mark. However, later that July Amazon announced that they sold more than a million copies of Stieg Larsson's titles for the Kindle. Add in his other sales outlets and it is possible he beat Patterson.

Yippee! It's been a while since I correctly guessed a quiz answer! [Stieg Larsson was my next guess!]

Guess that means I have to scratch up a new question to stump you folks with ....
*scratch* *scratch* oh look! Worms! Earthworms! How about a worm question?

In honor of the upcoming UK Olympics, I'd like to remind you all of the competitive sport Worm Charming! Yes - in addition to gathering bait or grossing out your friends & neighbors, Worm Charming (aka Worm Grunting or Worm Fiddling) is a recognized sport using a variety of techniques & apparatus to lure the little rascals to the surface. The World Worm Charming Championships were established in 1980 in Great Britain, and are now held annually. To quote the rule book:

"Rules of The British and European Federation of Wormcharmers include a plot no greater than 3 metres by 3 metres, a five-minute warm up period, a three-person team of charmer, catcher and counter and that all worms must be returned to the ground after the contest according to the British Association of Worm Length Supporters (BAWLS)."

Disclaimer: No folks, I am NOT making this up.

The current world record was established on June 29, 2009 by 10-year-old Sophie Smith of Willaston, England who raised how many worms from her 3 x 3 plot of earth in 30 minutes?

[Just thinking about those masses of worms makes a chicken drool!]

How many worms?
