1. Is this Richard Jefferies (I think that's his name). The only book I know of by him is called "After London" but I haven't read it so I'm guessing wildly.

Yes, the author of Treasure Island. The book title is a little obscure, I agree.
"...from the World in the Moon, we find that the lunar satellite is populated by the Solunarians, who are endlessly scrapping with their enemies. Their antics are remarkably reminiscent of the warring religious factions of late 17th-century England." |

![]() OK - in honor of the release of Skyfall, the latest James Bond film, let's test your Bond knowledge: Ernst Stavro Blofeld is a supervillain from the James Bond series of novels and films, an evil genius with aspirations of world domination, and the archenemy of the British Secret Service agent James Bond. Blofeld is head of the global criminal organisation SPECTRE and is commonly referred to as Number 1. Blofeld appears or is heard in three novels and seven James Bond films. Can you name the 3 novels and the 7 films? |

Since it's gone so quiet, here's one: name the ten countries with the longest-reigning living monarchs. This only counts the heads of sovereign states, not heads of provinces/groups within a nation.
Usual disclaimer: taken from web sources (apart from the ones I just knew from my habit of collecting trivia), so only as accurate as the sources. One point for country name; one for length of reign to within ten years; two points for reasonably accurate monarch's name. |
