Yes, Stitch. You got it right. Five years ago they came up in conversation and I when I went to find out where they were located, I found out that they were in my town. I thought, "Oh, how neat." So I looked up the address and saw it was Ingersoll Ter. I thought to myself, "Ingersoll, Ingersoll... I know that name." Then on my way home, I realised it was the first side street, on my left, when I got off of my exit. I dropped my car off at home and walked back up to Ingersoll to check out the houses. Just as I was staring at one of the houses, the owner, a man, opened up his kitchen window and tossed water out of a pot, or something. It was kind of weird. I felt like a peeping Tom, but he was really cool about it seemed happy to talk about his historical house. While walking on our way back home, my beau said it was odd that he was willing to talk since it was freezing outside and he was wearing his boxer shorts. I didn't even realise it! He was standing there in his boxers and tshirt talking to some strangers about his historical Edison house.

You can see them here. All eleven are still there. It looks like 4 have additions and/or changed their roof.

If they were really in the artic circle, the piece of ice they were on would not have broken off, it's too cold there.

There is no sun on the Arctic circle during the the winter solstice.
